Zubair Field
Discovered 1949, onshore Iraq, one of the giant fields of Basra.
Overview
Zubair lies southwest of Basra near Rumaila. After decades of state operation, an Eni led consortium won a service contract in 2009 to raise output. Iraq treats it as one of the key fields behind its southern export growth through the Basra oil terminals.
