The largest conventional oil field ever found, stretching about 230 km by 30 km in the Eastern Province. Ghawar has produced well over 60 billion barrels from Jurassic Arab D limestone. Uthmaniyah, Ain Dar, Shedgum, Hawiyah and Haradh are its operating segments. It remains the crown jewel of Saudi Aramco and the anchor of world spare capacity.
