Manifa Field
Discovered 1957, shallow offshore Saudi Arabia, about 900,000 barrels per day.
Overview
Aramco delayed Manifa for decades over its shallow, coral filled waters, then built artificial islands with rigs mounted on them from 2013. The heavy crude blends into the export slate. It stands among the boldest field developments of the 2010s.
