Kuparuk River Field
Discovered 1969, Alaskan North Slope, second largest US oil field.
Overview
Kuparuk gave the North Slope a second life after Prudhoe. Its later development pioneers included CD rigs on pads. Combined with Alpine and satellites, the western slope keeps TAPS flowing above minimums.
