Johan Sverdrup Field
Discovered 2010, offshore Norway, a plateau of about 755,000 barrels per day.
Overview
One of the largest finds on the Norwegian shelf in decades, operated by Equinor on the Utsira High. Production began in 2019, and the field is powered from shore by hydropower, giving it some of the lowest emissions per barrel of any oil field. It supplies a large share of Norwegian output.
